Complete Getting Started Checklist

Phase 1: Preparation (Day 1–2)

Download and start reading the eBook. Choose your blog niche using the framework in Chapter 2. Brainstorm 20–30 blog post ideas in your niche. Research your competition using the methods outlined in Chapter 3. Decide on your blog name and check domain availability.

Phase 2: Technical Setup (Day 3–5)

Register your domain name. Sign up for web hosting. Install WordPress using the one-click installer. Install your chosen theme and customise it with your brand colours. Install essential plugins (SEO, security, caching, backup). Set up Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

Phase 3: Content and Launch (Day 6–14)

Create your essential pages: Home, About, Contact, Privacy Policy. Write and publish your first 3–5 blog posts. Set up your email list with a lead magnet. Create social media profiles for your blog. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console. Share your first posts on social media and relevant communities. Celebrate — you're officially a blogger!
